Cambridge

I've finished the back of Cambridge! I'm getting very nervous about it fitting, especially after reading AlltangledUp Polly's frogging of hers. If it doesn't fit, I'll save it for Grace. Now I need the courage to cast on the front and face all that 1x1 ribbing for 4 inches! The yarn is so soft though. I'm getting ready to finish the first panel of the Plaid throw too. Will post photos soon!

Hope this works

After recent technical problems I'm going to try and post these photos for Katherine.

So there should be Katherine's Noro finished object. (sorry cannot seem to recall the name)

Also her almost finished Log Cabin Blanket.

And last but not least the progress made on Sorrel.

Christmas Knitting

In this case it should be said that some peopl may actually get something knitted for Christmas this year but I have my doubts that my epic idea of only knitted presents will be fulfilled. On the go at the moment 2 pairs of mittens from the book Folk Mittens. I love this book it's amazing. Also on the go is a pair of socks for my dad seeing as though he does indeed seem to appreciate the last pair I made him. These are from Estonian Knitting. The only gripe I have about this book is that it does not tell you what weight yarn is used and so it's the hard route of substitution. Dave's jumper is moving along, that definately should be done in time. It is the one from the new Rowan mag with the snowflake on the front. The last project is a pair of felted crochet slippers. I'm enjoying this even though I am not that enamoured with crochet.

Alas not much knitting for myself lately, well actually not much knitting getting done really as I have been reading a lot lately and though I have proved both reading and knitting can be done together it is not the most enjoyable experiance.

Anway that's it for now. Hopefully I will be able to bring a digital camera to this weeks knit and relax.
