Knit and Relax Sunday 7th Jan

We had a good time yesterday. Present were: me, Sue, Debbie, Helen, Sam, Maria and Sharon. I was finishing a waistcoat (pattern courtesy of Sweater Wizard) and starting Susan from Naturally Noro - why haven't you done this yet, Katherine? I am going to make the shoulders wider, they are a bit strappy. Sue was doing Issy from (?) 29 in felted tweed - looks gorgeous. Debbie started a sock, Helen was doing a shrug from Erika Knights new book in Louisa Harding silk and wool. Sam - well Sam had a tragedy! Her Christmas present - DB cashmerino DK in navy, the dye came off on her hands. So she now has to wait for some more to arrive before she can get on with a jumper from the RYC baby alpaca book - sorry don't know the name. Maria did a sleeve of the front cover of the new Noro book - hurry up Maria I need it for Doris! Sharon has the sock bug BAD and is doing her umpteenth sock since Christmas - she has done a pair in tapestry which look wonderful.

No gossip as such BUT we have had a bright idea to have a weekend away - no date yet, but a relaxing weekend of knitting and chatting is definitely on the cards! It has to be cheap, near enough to get to on a friday night, but far enough away from families, with a handy pub for food or a takeaway that delivers (although Sam has offered to cook....)

We missed Katherine, Philippa and Helen, but no doubt they will be around for the next installment on 21st.
